The Sanzhi UFO houses (also known as the Sanzhi Pod Houses and/or the Sanzhi Pod City) located in the Sanzhi District, New Taipei City, Taiwan, were a set of abandoned pod shaped houses.
Constructed in early 1978 and meant as a vacation resort for military personal, but due to investment losses and several fatal car accidents it was unfinished and left in 1980. The deaths were said to have been cause by the act of bisecting the Chinese Dragon sculpture to widen the roads into the resort, which caused bad luck and since the grounds have been believed to be cursed.
As of 2010 the whole resort was demolished. How very sad.
